XBox One vs PS4 : GameStop Expert view
What's going on guys here is what random GameStop stores opinion on Xbox one console Vs ps4 console. So the plan is I'm just gonna straight-up say you think I should buy an Xbox one or ps4. And I'm just gonna kind of play dumb act like I don't know anything about either console. Just kind of see where the conversation takes me I might just ask a couple random or weird cat questions . I'm thinking for each call I might just make some ridiculous claim and see what they say.
GameStop Store Opinion regarding consoles
For this first one I might ask him about the red ring of death on the Xbox one which is obviously. I think on the 360 but the Xbox one I'm just kind of just gonna see where it goes. Let's go ahead and call this first one.
So of course they have a robot call alright so said press one to talk no associate and let's do that.
Associate: Thanks for calling GameStop over an auto park way bring your phone just take devices for cash of the five dollars.
Me: Hey I'm interested in buying a console for Black Friday. I'm just wondering if I can get an opinion on if you think I should buy an Xbox one or ps4.
Associate: Okay, so I don't know the exact sale prices yet mate. If I had to honestly take basically just tell you between the two what games you play.
Me: Really playing pretty much anything to have fun. I haven't played consoles in a in a while I'm just some kind of one who do not have a anything in mind.
Associate: PlayStation has a few more exclusives then Xbox does. Xbox still has like Halo years games that are out and coming out but many PlayStation also has like games. These gone Spider-man, Emily the show this is a lot more exclusive, so I mean to go with both but without going here with the sale price. I would personally go with PlayStation.
Me: That's because of games it have.
Associate: Yes it is because of Games selection that's why I suggested to PlayStation.
Me: Okay that's good advice I appreciate it.
Associate: Yeah of course but you know that's also going without knowing the prices, so I mean Xbox may just have a really better deal for Black Friday. You might find yourself buying an Xbox.
Me: Do you guys have any like trade-in deals right now cause I think I have an old 360 you're laying around or somewhere, so that I will get money or anything.
Associate: No you're definitely something for it either an in-store trade credit or cash. No personal deals special deals right now. You will get it after a couple of days like on the week or a Black Friday. We may have something on the day of Black Friday or maybe that week, if you come in that week or black friday to buy your system and you're trading in that Xbox 360 you make it a little bit more. We'll get the ads and like exactly at the sale prices probably that day or so before you guys do. Whenever we do and you see like actual signage just call right back and see everything that's up.
Me : Okay Sounds Good. One other random question I had a Xbox 360 which got a red ring of death does the Xbox one or ps4 have any issues like a red ring and death or any.
Associate: Oh No, that they're very good on fixing that stuff peace word. Now both these newer generation consoles are really good at not having any weird problem like a ring of death. Xbox 360 was an interesting series and they fix a lot of their issues.
Me: I got you all right I appreciate the info
So guys that conversation actually went a lot better than I thought it would. That guy was actually cool and nice feel kind of bad asking some those things, so I knew the answer and he was like really genuine answering them. At the end threw the red ring of death thing nicely because guy was being really nice and actually helping me out.
All right guys I'm going to call another GameStop now and I'm thinking of my weird question that I'll try to work into there. This time is I will ask about the durability two consoles and basically say that I have a Cat that likes to knock my consoles off the shelves. I'll be like I have a cat that sometimes knocks stuff off the shelf do you think this cat will knock my Xbox one or ps4 off the shelf and we'll see what they have to say. Even I am willing to ask them is it possible to connect PS4 to PC and let see what they replies.
GameStop Store view regarding Durability of Consoles
Me: I'm interested in potentially buying a Xbox one or ps4 on Black Friday. I just kind of want to go to straight to this source and see if somebody had opinion on which way I should go.
Associate: Well considering because they have a terabyte system that comes with three, so preferring PlayStation over Xbox. I don't know what they're doing for the physical console but they do have a $150 all digital terabyte system Xbox one has.
Me: How much was that deal you said for the PlayStation how much does that cost.
Associate: It will cost $200 but at the end three games and a terabyte gives of the 200 is a pretty good deal.
Me: Is that is that a brand-new or is that a used deal?
Associate: It is for brand new.
Me: I've got one random question about kind of the durability of console, so I have cat it's kind of known to knocks off stuff off a shelf. So just curious do you think a cat could knock a ps4 off a shelf very easily?
Associate: Depends on where you place it.
Me: Yeah maybe I can just strap it down or something like that. You know if you have any other and deals coming out for the ps4 and Xbox one like I'm just specific Black Friday deals.
Associate: Let's see probably you will get around $20 off like last year.
Gamestop were actually nicer than I thought. They're really really willing to to answer I guess it's the one thing that they want to do when they're there is you know answer of questions about video games. I guess that's why most people get a job at Gamestop, but I threw in that weird cat question. It not seems wired to him because that guy was definitely a PlayStation Homer.
Both these guys have been all over the PlayStation, but I got two for PlayStation not for Xbox one. So I think Xbox is not a winner in any situation. I think GamStop always lovers PlayStation or might be they do not have much experience on Xbox.
